Recently, Redwood Newsmakers’ Ross Rowley talked with HSRC’s CEO Melissa Hooven about National Senior Center Month, which is being celebrated in September, and the importance of senior centers to older adults and their communities.

Melissa noted that senior centers — including HSRC — provide much more than meals and recreational activities.  They serve as gathering places where older adults can find connection, support and a sense of community.
