Humboldt Senior Resource Center (HSRC) would like to clarify the current status of the Senior Firewood Program. We understand that there is inaccurate information circulating in the community.

To our knowledge, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department is continuing the Senior Firewood Program. HSRC has had no communication from the Sheriff’s Department about any plans or intent to discontinue the program.

HSRC has partnered with the Sheriff’s Department for nearly 30 years to provide the Senior Firewood Program to the community. We appreciate this longstanding partnership and the opportunity to move forward together in supporting older adults in the Humboldt community.
